Celebs React to Aaron Carter's Death

Celebrities offered their thoughts and condolences on the death of recording artist Aaron Carter, the younger brother of Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys.
As previously reported, Aaron, 34, was found dead at his California home on Nov. 4. TMZ reported that according to "[l]aw enforcement sources" a call to emergency services placed at 11 a.m. alerted authorities "that a male had drowned in the tub."
"Carter started his career opening for the boy band Backstreet Boys on a number of tours and concerts, and also had a successful solo career," the BBC reported. "During the late 90s and early noughties he sold millions of copies of his four albums, the first of which was when he was only nine years old."
Boy band New Kids on the Block tweeted, "We are shocked and saddened about the sudden passing of Aaron Carter."
"Sending prayers to the Carter family," the tweet added. "Rest in peace, Aaron ❤️"
*NSYNC also took to Twitter, posting, "We are saddened by the news of the sudden passing of Aaron Carter today. Our hearts go out to his family, friends and fans during this difficult time."

Transgender actor Plastic Martyr posted at Twitter, "Aaron Carter was one of the first friends I made in LA. He was so supportive through my transition & was always a genuine friend."
"I'll miss you," Plastic Martyr's tweet added. "I wish I could hug you 1 last time. RIP".
Singer and "One Tree Hill" actor Tyler Hilton tweeted that the news was "heartbreaking," and added: this kid had such a spark. Known him for years and always really liked him, he was warm and really funny. Loved putting on a show and he was good at it."
The Hollywood Reporter recalled that Carter "welcomed son Prince with Melanie Martin in November 2021," and added, "Over the years, the star was open about his struggles with substance abuse, including on a 2017 episode of 'The Doctors.'
"In September, he said he had checked into rehab for a fifth time in an effort to regain custody of his son," the THR article continued. "He had entered rehab in 2017 following an arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence and marijuana charges."
A new single from Mic Garcia – also known as ChecktheStar – came out the day before the tragedy, Us MAgaine reported. Garcia took to Instagram to post a message thanking Carter "for believing in me, for working with me teaching so much about the industry, teaching me how to sing."
Hillary Duff also took to Instagram, posting that she was "deeply sorry that life was so hard for you and that you had to struggle in-front of the whole world."
"You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent," Duff's post added, going on to say, "boy, did my teenage self love you deeply."
