Watch: Get Ready for a Less Boozy NYE for CNN's Anderson Cooper, Andy Cohen and Don Lemon

After last year's New Year's Eve fiasco in which Andy Cohen went on a drunken rant and dissed then New York Mayor Bill DeBlasio, called Journey, Ryan Seacrest's musical guest, a bunch of "losers," and Don Lemon called himself a "grown-ass man" on-air, CNN producers are reportedly looking to cut down on letting its hosts get loose off the Goose.

As reported by Vanity Fair, it's a well-known tradition that viewers watching New Year's Eve broadcasts on TV tend to flip back between ABC's Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, hosted by Ryan Seacrest and CNN's coverage hosted by bffs Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen.

But last year, audiences were treated to more than they bargained for when things seemingly started to go off the rails. Lemon revealed a secret tattoo and Cohen was characteristically caustic and noticeably under the influence.

"Producers at CNN decided in November that they will pump the breaks on the antics during the broadcast this year, and stick a cork in some of the flowing alcohol," VF reports.

Don't worry, Cooper and Cohen will still have access to some bubbly to loosen them up "during prime-time hours," but reporters in the field such as Lemon will be cut off.

CNN chairman and CEO Chris Licht reportedly decided that "on-camera drinking eroded the credibility of CNN personnel and damaged the respectability they may enjoy among viewers," according to Variety.

Having been the target of multiple insults by Cohen, Seacrest threw some shade while being for a pro-sober broadcast.

"I don't know [when drinking during the broadcast] started as a tradition, but it's probably a good idea [to scale back], CNN," said Seacrest about the difference between his show and the show hosted by Cohen and Cooper. "I think they had something to say about my show at one point, which was I'm sure from the alcohol because I don't think they would say what they said about our performers if they weren't drinking. But, you know, I think our show's a bigger, broader show, and we will not drink until 1:05 in the morning."

As Seacrest demonstrates, the best revenge is winning.

Cohen reportedly texted an apology to Seacrest about the incident and why he called Journey a bunch of losers without Steve Perry. He explained that it was "an offhanded comment about nothing that really had to do with him. It was about Journey. I was really going after the current iteration of Journey. Because I'm a big Steve Perry fan."

Sure, Andy. See you on New Year's Eve!

Until then, here's what happened last year.
