Not long after MTV announced its new reality show "The Real Friends of WeHo," out actor Chris Salvatore took to Twitter to allege he was fired from starring on the show for having an OnlyFans. He claims that cast members took issue with him being on the platform and did not want to work with him.
Although he does not specifically name the show in his tweets, his messages came shortly after the network shared the trailer for the upcoming series, which debuts Jan. 20 following episodes of "RuPaul's Drag Race."
"Last year, 3 gays from a certain reality show refused to film with me for having an OF so I was fired by production after filming for only a week. That's about all I can say...for now," he tweeted not long after "The Real Friends of WeHo" trailer hit social media.
Responding to fans, Salvatore added that he "legally can't disclose anything" and, according to PopCrave, another fan asked if he was talking about "The Real Friends of WeHo" and its star Todrick Hall, and the "Eating Out" actor reportedly responded, "You'd be surprised."
MTV has not responded to Salvatore's comments.
Similar to the "Real Housewives" franchise, "The Real Friends of WeHo" follows the lives of a group of gay celebs, including the singer and dancer Todrick Hall, stylist and "Drag Race" judge Brad Goreski, as well as actor Curtis Hamilton, Buttah Skincare CEO Dorión Renaud, TV host and business owner Jaymes Vaughan and digital entrepreneur Joey Zauzig. MTV said the show is an "unfiltered and honest look at a select group of friends living, loving and pursuing their passions in the West Hollywood community. Consisting of some of Hollywood's most influential and successful LGBTQ+ celebrities, personalities and entrepreneurs."
