Netflix Uncouples with Neil Patrick Harris' 'Uncoupled'

Netflix is uncoupling with "Uncoupled" after just one season of the show starring Neil Patrick Harris.
As reported by Variety, the comedy by series creators Darren Star and Jeffrey Richman had an eight-episode arc on the streaming service that premiered on July 29. 2022. Despite a solid critics approval rating of 73% on Rotten Tomatoes, the show "failed to make a significant viewership impact," Variety reports. "With the series appearing in the Netflix Top 10 chart for just one week after its debut in the number six spot."
In series followed Harris as Michael Lawson. "Michael thought his life was perfect until his partner blindsides him by walking out the door after 17 years," according to the official show synopsis. "Overnight, Michael has to confront two nightmares – losing what he thought was his soulmate and suddenly finding himself a single gay man in his mid-forties in New York City."
Tuc Watkins, Tisha Campbell, Brooks Ashmanskas, Emerson Brooks, and Marcia Gay Harden also starred. And Starr, Richman, and Harris all served as executive producers with Lilly Burns.
If you have seen an episode of the show, then you know it screamed of "Sex and the City" – but for the gays and without the lovable main characters.
Despite this cancelation, Starr is still rolling in success at Netflix with his hit "Emily in Paris" just wrapping its third season and already renewed for a fourth.
