Global pop star Bad Bunny and hot leading man Gael García Bernal shared a kiss that burned up the big screen and is now going viral.

Remezcla reported that the cinematic snog is a moment from "Cassandro," director Roger Ross Williams' biopic of openly gay lucha libre wrestler Saúl Armendáriz, who, the site noted, "was a trailblazer for LGBTQ+ people interested in lucha libre and has since become an icon to many."

Bernal plays Armendáriz – who's name in the ring is Cassandro – and Bad Bunny portrays Felipe, a "drug dealing henchman" whose "responsibility is to handle every one of Cassandro's needs, and Felipe does," Remezcla detailed.

"The pairing of these two leads to an incredibly flirtatious relationship leading to an on-screen kiss that has already been heard around the world."

The film premiered at Sundance, and images of the kiss between the two stars have flooded social media to the delight of fans.

Other photos showing the two kissing are also circulating.

The Hollywood Reporter relayed that "after the film's debut [at Sundance], THR chief film critic David Rooney praised Bernal's work in the film by writing that he 'nails his best role in years, giving a performance steeped in cheeky humor, resilience and radical self-belief – not to mention some amazingly nimble moves.'"

"He added that the feature offers an 'exhilarating exploration of fearless queer identity in a macho environment.'"

Bernal, who is straight, has been a gay movie icon since his 2001 breakout role in Alfonso Cuarón's drama "Y tu mamá también," in which he plays one of a pair of best friends whose relationship veers into homoerotic territory.

Bad Bunny, a.k.a. Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, has said that he is heterosexual, but he has unapologetically challenged gender expectations, wearing a dress on the cover of Harper's Bazaar's "Icons" issue last summer and, in a performance directly after winning the "Artist of the Year" title at the 2022 VMAs, swinging both ways, by kissing first a female backup dancer on one side and promptly kissing a male dancer after.

As previously reported, Bad Bunny is also one of the driving forces behind Netflix's upcoming adaptation of the gay YA novel adaptation "They Both Die at the End," along with "Bridgerton" former executive producer Chris Van Dusen.

"Cassandro," which also features "Looking" and "The Inspection" star Raúl Castillo, will stream later this year on Amazon.
