'Euphoria' Star Jacob Elordi Joins Cast of 'Saltburn'

"Euphoria" star Jacob Elordi is part of the cast of "Saltburn," the closely-guarded sophomore feature film from "Promising Young Woman" director Emerald Fennell, GQ revealed.

The Australian actor will co-star with Irish hottie Barry Keoghan, whose career has been ascendent ever since he commanded attention in Yorgos Lanthimos' "The Killing of a Sacred Deer" and Christopher Nolan's "Dunkirk." More recently, Keoghan had a turn as The Joker in Matt Reeves' "The Batman," and his performance in last year's "The Banshees of Inisherin" has garnered him an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

But Elordi and Keoghan aren't the limit of "Saltburn"'s star power; the feature marks the second time Fennell and another Irish star, Carey Mulligan, are working together. Mulligan was the protagonist of "Promising Young Woman," a #MeToo-inspired film in which her character sought to punish men for behaving badly toward women.

Rosamund Pike and Richard E. Grant will also appear in the film, GQ reported.

While little is known about the plot of "Saltburn," GQ noted that "it seems as though Fennell is mining from personal experience" for the film, which Deadline characterized as being "about a 'grand, aristocratic English family,' while other sources have called it a 'tale of obsession.'"

Before he starred in "Euphoria" (memorably appearing in various scenes depicting male nudity, including a locker room moment in which the ripped 25-year-old was surrounded by a myriad of buff naked men), Elordi starred in "The Kissing Booth," and later reprised his role in two sequels. He has also modeled for Calvin Klein underwear, and is slated to appear as Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola's film "Priscilla," due out later this year.
