Watch: Ripped Jake Gyllenhaal Weighs-In on UFC Stage

READ TIME: 2 MIN.

Will Jake Gyllenhaal be fighting Jake Paul next? In all likelihood, no. But Jake Gyllenhaal is showing he's got the right stuff for such a match-up.

The 42-year-old actor showed off his seriously ripped physique while filming a scene from the "Road House" remake, writes the Daily Mail. In the clip that has gone viral, Gyllenhaal appears at a weigh-in for a UFC (United Fighting Championship) event opposite mixed martial artist Jay Hieron, 46.

He summoned his inner-testosterone for the scene in which he is announced as Hieron's challenger and removes his bathrobe to reveal his buff body.

"Sporting a full-on six pack, pronounced pecks and sculpted arms, the A-list heartthrob certainly looked the part as he stared down his opponent," adds the DM.

Gyllenhaal met Hieron in the middle stage where they exchanged some inaudible insults before Gyllenhaal threw a fake slap.

Jake met Hieron in the middle of the stage, where they engaged in some inaudible smack talk before Gyllenhaal threw a fake slap. "This fu**er just makes me laugh, cuz he's a FU**ING JOKE! Let's go. Just give me the belt. Just give it to me. Hand it to me.," said Gyllenhaal to an open mike.

Hieron's character was none too pleased, as he called Gyllenhaal's fighter "a fu**ing bum" and said, "I promise you that's the one and only hit you get. I'm putting you to sleep tomorrow night."

In the remake of the 1989 film that starred Patrick Swayze, Gyllenhaal plays a former UFC fighter who takes a job as a bouncer in the Florida Keys and "soon discovers that not everything is what it seems in this tropical paradise," the synopsis states.

In speaking to "Good Morning America" last year, Gyllenhaal talked about taking the role and his relationship with Swayze, whom he worked with on the 2001 sci-fi fantasy "Donny Darko."

'They're big shoes to fill, but Patrick was a friend when he was here," he said of the late film icon and his inspiration. "We made a movie when I was pretty young called 'Donnie Darko' together,' he added. Gyllenhaal was 21 at the time.

"He was always so loving and lovely to me. I take that all to heart in playing the role and there are some things I take from him, but generally we made a whole new movie and I'm really excited about it," he added.
