Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee removed a post in which he shared a video filled with anti-trans rhetoric, telling fans online that he's "in no way transphobic or against the LGBTQIA+ community," People Magazine reported.

The since-deleted post shared "a 2017 clip of One America News Network host Liz Wheeler ranting against transgender people and individuals identifying as 'transracial' and 'transabled,'" People Mag detailed.

"I deleted my 'controversial' post, because I am in no way transphobic or against the LGBTQIA+ community or any fucking community," the 60-year-old musician posted, adding, "I'm the gayest motherfucker around!"

That said, "I just don't agree with how far some things have been taken," Lee added.

To illustrate his meaning, Lee pointed to people "identifying as babies or animals" and claimed, "some people are blinding themselves because they feel they should have been born blind."

Though it's unclear what any of that has to do with the transgender community, Lee conflated the topics, defending himself as someone who "gets" it when it comes to trans individuals.

"I get being born female and identifying as male or being born male and identifying as female or whatever," he continued. "But when [people] start identifying as babies or animals...WTF!"

Lee went on to add: "I posted that because it got me thinking (and you should too) about where this and our world is all going."

In the comments section, Lee went even farther afield. "AAaaand...don't even get me started with the AI shit... before you know it you'll be wondering if anything in this world is real or what it seems," he said.

Reactions were mixed, with one person commenting that Lee was "thinking normally and correctly" while another pointed out that Lee was mixing unrelated topics together.

"you're falling for the alt right propaganda people want you to fall for," the comment read. "the only people who claim to be 'transracial' or 'transabelist' are trying to make fools out of the transgender community to make us look insane, like we're the wrong ones for being born in the wrong body. the older generation is falling for the propaganda and dogwhistles that they warn the younger generation about so much. its really dissapointing to see you fall for it too tommy. you're better than this man."

Another chimed in with: " 'trans-ablist' is some super-obscure fetish thing that's literally A COUPLE OF PEOPLE...like, probably less than a dozen people...that's being blown up into a 'thing' JUST to discredit actual struggling minority groups. Don't be a chump and fall for it."

The comments that had accrued to the earlier, now-deleted post, were also passionate. People relayed that one comment came from musician Questlove, who expressed skepticism about Lee's choice of news sources, writing: "OAN tho? #unfollow."

In subsequent posts to his Instagram page, Lee shared phallic images of clouds and tree roots, as well as a restroom sign depicting a man, a woman, and an alien, and reading: "Whatever. Just wash your hands."
