Russell Tovey is one of the hardest-working out actors in Hollywood right now. His resume speaks for itself, playing characters in a wide variety of mediums and genres. Still, you're more likely to be familiar with Tovey's work if you're a fan of horror and supernatural television. His breakout role on the BBC comedy-drama series "Being Human" led to other ventures into scary stuff such as "American Horror Story: NYC." Tovey often keeps his roles focused on the queer experience if he can, having played gay roles in the HBO dramedy "Looking" and on the Russell T. Davies's dystopian miniseries "Years and Years."

Tovey has been out for many years now, detailing his struggles with sexuality in his teen years, his parents' reaction to his coming out, and his relationship with gender expression. Tovey is a very open person on social media, sharing many of the fun trips he takes along with lazier days at home. We'll document 12 of our favorite Instagram posts from Tovey so you can get more acquainted with this venerable actor!

Tovey is seen here having fun with some of our other favorite queer celebrities, such as Kit Connor from "Heartstopper" and singer Callum Scott, at a fashion show inspired by the Michael Clark Company's clothing and brand materials. Tovey has no issue teasing about sexual innuendos in the first picture with the eggplant emoji! The fashion at the show looked pretty casual, showing that we can all look good without having to overdress for the moment.

Tovey is seen from the comfort of his home enjoying New Year's Eve with friends and pets. His two dogs are absolutely adorable waiting for the food to come out of the oven just like the rest of us on holidays! We'll never complain about getting as many celebrity pet pictures as we possibly can!

Tovey has gotten into podcasting and interviewing in recent years. Being a celebrity himself, he's much more connected to the industry than the typical media member, and this has helped him develop a successful side gig. Here Tovey advertises his audiobook with Robert Diament titled "Talkart: The Interviews." It's a compilation of his best interviews with 24 different creative types he's had on the show.

We mentioned that Tovey loves to travel, and here we get one of our first looks at the actor in the middle of a trip. Tovey is enjoying the clouds and blue skies of New York City in this photo, and fans enjoyed seeing the actor at such an up-close angle. Commenters teased him about his "porn-style" mustache, but overall everyone thought Tovey looked handsome and ready for adventure, just as he normally does!

Talk about a once-in-a-lifetime vacation! Tovey looks just as stunning as the sunshine in front of one of the world's most famous landmarks, Stonehenge. The ancient burial site is one of the most visited locations in England every year due to interest in the history of the structures and curiosity over their original purpose.

Tovey looks happy and healthy here in the presence of artist Doron Langberg. It's unclear whether Tovey was participating in the making of the art, or whether he was just there to observe Langberg, but we appreciate the actor's interest in painting and design. The many shades of reds and oranges leads us to believe a fiery portrait or depiction of someone was on the way behind the scenes!

Tovey is as bright as the Fire Island entrance he's standing in front of here on the famous gay vacation spot in Long Island, New York. The LGBTQ+ community has been using Fire Island as a refuge and a place for fun and excitement for decades, and Tovey seems to be fully aware of the history and significance of the location. Hopefully he had a great time!

Fans really enjoyed seeing Tovey looking clean cut and cute with an arching of rainbow stars above his head in North Greenwich. The colors are very appropriate for Pride month and help bring attention to the actor's hair style that he seemed to want fans to notice.

Tovey has had a tumultuous relationship with his parents, documenting how they weren't very accepting of his sexuality when it was first disclosed to them in the actor's teenage years. It's nice to see they've made amends enough for Tovey to show the world this absolutely adorable photo of himself with his mom on Mother's Day in the United Kingdom, which is celebrated in March.

It looks like Tovey is enjoying the holiday season here in December of 2021. Tovey has a dearth of shirtless photos and videos on his social media accounts, so this dance wearing just an open shirt button-up that displays the actor's chest is sure to thrill the thirsty fans who go to his account.

Here we see another great photo of Tovey with his dog, Rocky. The actor is celebrating the pup's ninth birthday and having an adorable face to face at a restaurant with his furry pal!
