"Boy Meets World" star Matthew Lawrence has shared his own #MeToo experience on a recent episode of the "Brotherly Love" podcast, reported Entertainment Weekly.

In the podcast talk, which he co-hosts with his brothers Joey and Andy, Lawrence claimed that he was almost a part of the Marvel Cinematic. All he had to do was strip down for an Oscar-winning director. When he reportedly refused, he believes his agency dropped him in retaliation.

In bringing his story to light, Lawrence also aimed to discuss the often double standards men face when sharing stories of sexual intimidation and assault.

"There's been many times in my life where I've been propositioned to get a huge role," Lawrence said. "I've lost my agency because I went to the hotel room – which I can't believe they would send me to – of a very prominent Oscar award-winning director who showed up in his robe, asked me to take my clothes off, and said he needed to take Polaroids of me. And then if I did X, Y, and Z, I would be the next Marvel character."

Lawrence continued, "I didn't do that, and my agency fired me because I left this director's room."

Although Lawrence didn't identify the director or agency by name, he said his experience is pretty common but men are often too ashamed to come forward.

"It is a real thing, the casting couch," he said. "We all know it's existed... Not a lot of guys have come out and talked about this in the industry."

He added, "Granted, it's probably about a third of what women go through, men go through this as well, whether its another woman or another man in power."
