Broadway actor PJ Adzima posted a video to Instagram of his hilarious send-up of the controversies rocking Bud Light.

Adzima, "who's currently playing Elder McKinley in 'The Book of Mormon,' addressed the controversy by writing a comedy song about what he's now calling 'the liberal beer,'" Newsweek reported.

The actor has "appeared in the likes of 'Girls5eva' and 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,'" the outlet recalled. "He shared his song to his thousands of followers across social media."

"Bud Light!" Adzima belts in the video, clutching a signature blue can and wearing a ball cap emblazoned with the brand's logo. "The liberal beer, so drink it if you're cis or if you're queer, baby."

The song continues: "Bud Light! It's shitty and bland, but it's gonna be your favorite brand, as you fight for trans rights with a can in your hand, baby!"

The song rollicks on: "So drink it up like America guzzles the lies of the alt-right! Swallow it down like we swallow the terror that's keepin' us up at night!"

"Bud Light, so painfully gay – now I'm gonna chug one for the LGBTQIA," Adzima goes on to croon. After miming a long pull from the somewhat crumpled can, he adds: "Okay, I'm not sure if I mentioned, but Bud Light is gay."

"On his Instagram account, Adzima credits Emmy-nominated composer and lyricist Eli Brolin as a co-writer of the song he's titled 'Bud Light!'" Newsweek noted.

As previously reported, the brand faced calls for a boycott (and videos depicting acts of violence directed at their product) from homophobic right-wingers after the brand partnered with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney – one of numerous such partnerships the brand has pursued in an effort to market to a wider share of consumers.

When Bud Light backed off from that partnership, LGBTQ+ advocates criticized parent company Anheuser-Busch InBev, and some gay bars stopped serving Bud Light, as well as other brands of alcohol owned by the company.
