Lea Michele will be Broadway's "Funny Girl" through the summer, but the sizzle won't stop when the show closes in September; the star teased that she's already landed her next role, and "it's very different," Variety reports.

The outlet noted that Michele was "being tight-lipped on details," which the star confirmed with the words, "You know it." But, Variety added, Michele was "hinting it could be a revival of some sort."

"It's very different musically" was the only clue the writeup shared.

"Michele made a triumphant return to the stage in September when she replaced Beanie Feldstein in the first revival of 'Funny Girl' since Barbra Streisand originated the role of Fanny Brice in 1964," Variety recalled.

Since taking over the role, Michele has shattered "the all-time box office record in sales at Broadway's August Wilson Theatre," EDGE noted in a previous report. "The record previously belonged to the 'Mean Girls' musical."

Michele "and the additional principal cast, including Tovah Feldshuh, Ramin Karimloo, and Jared Grimes," thrilled theater lovers when they "officially extended their run in the Broadway revival," as Entertainment Weekly reported in March. The show is slated to shut down Sept. 3 "after playing 599 performances and 30 previews at the August Wilson Theatre."

Michele's career continues on an upward trajectory. "Just last month, Michele was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in the world," Variety noted. "She also announced this year's Tony nominations on May 2, along with 'MJ' star Myles Frost."
