Out 'Ride' Star Jake Foy Engaged to Nicolas La Traverse

Jake Foy, the out star of Hallmark's rodeo-themed series "Ride" has gotten engaged to his longtime boyfriend, Nicolas La Traverse, and he shared the special moment in a May 8 Instagram post that included a slideshow of images.

"Ain't we got fun...?!" the caption reads.

With Two Jacks Lake as a backdrop, the couple are first seen holding hands and then, as one clicks through the photos, Foy, wearing a white sweater, drops to one knee before slipping an engagement ring onto La Traverse's finger. The couple then embraces.

In a pair of double-wide images, Foy kisses La Traverse's hand and then the two perch barefoot on a rock jutting out of shallow water near the shore. In the final pair of images, the couple pet their dog and then walk hand in hand, the dog leading the way.

Well wishers crowded the comments section.

As previously reported here at EDGE, Foy is the star of Hallmark's drama "Ride," in which the out actor plays an equally out rodeo star.

The show "tells the story of a multigenerational family led by Isabel McMurray (Nancy Travis), her sons Cash (Beau Mirchoff), Tuff (Foy), and widowed daughter-in-law Missy (Tiera Skovbye)," the earlier EDGE story said, before going on to remark that "Foy isn't being written as a depressive, closeted homosexual, played more for tragedy than inspiration. In fact, Tuff and his boyfriend Julian, played by Vasilios Filippakis, just shared their first on-screen kiss."
