2023 Rewind: Hugh Hefner's Bi Son Turns to OnlyFans for Pokémon Money

This piece is part of EDGE's 2023 Rewind series. We're reaching into our archives and sharing some of our favorite stories from the past year.
Hugh Hefner's youngest son, Marston Hefner, who identifies a bisexual, has turned to OnlyFans as a way of financing his obsession with Pokémon, U.K. newspaper the Independent reports.
Speaking with Page Six, Hefner, 33, explained that the income he derives from OnlyFans is a way of funding his hobby of collecting Pokémon cards as well as comic books. Pursuing such treasures can be an expensive pastime; Page Six noted that while Hefner "wouldn't disclose just how much money he's making from his X-rated uploads," he anticipated earning enough through the online platform "to own a Pokémon Trophy card" before the year is out.
Such collectables "can cost up to six figures," Page Six noted.
Hefner's OnlyFans account isn't just for raising money to allow him to purchase the collectibles. The Independent noted that the "account is mostly reserved for Pokémon-related content, and he refrains from sharing videos that show himself having sex.
"However," the newspaper noted, "some content on his OnlyFans has NSFW labels, such as 'crazy sexy undie dancing,' 'strip tease,' and 'butt plug play.'"
Hefner is upfront about his sexual orientation – touting himself as being "bisexual af" at his OnlyFans profile – and he is married, having tied the knot with wife Anna Lambropoulos in August of last year. Hefner admitted that his wife was not keen on him providing content for the platform.
But such matters are subject to negotiation in his marriage, Hefner indicated, saying he'd be in Anna's corner if it were she, and not him, on OnlyFans.
"If she wanted to do an open relationship, we'll talk about it," Hefner explained. "If she wanted to do anything sexual, that's a conversation that we have no matter what, and we are always having it."
That extends to pornography. Hefner said that even though his father was founder of the world-famous heterosexual skin mag, "I was still taught to stigmatize whatever pornography is."
As an adult, though, his attitude is that "I just don't care to do that," Hefner added. "Like, if people have sex and they make money from it, [or] I end up doing that, cool."
