"Barbie" premiered in Los Angeles on Sunday, and it was Ken who was stealing the show. "Give Ryan Gosling an Oscar nomination, I'm dead serious!" tweeted Jamie Jirak@JamieCinematics.

She began her tweet by raving about the movie. "I can't officially quit Twitter before telling you all that #Barbie is currently my favorite film of the year. Greta Gerwig somehow exceeded my expectations. She tackles the positives and negatives of Barbie so beautifully."

It isn't surprising then to see a video drop this morning that offers a glimpse of Greta Gerwig's pink-saturated vision of Barbie's world, as well as feature "Ryan Gosling singing his heart out," according to Variety.

The song he sings is the cheeky, self-reflective ballad "I'm Just Ken," and focuses on his second-place status in Barbie's life and what it would mean to live without her. The clip featured Gosling "shirtless, crying, and incredibly emotional," writes Variety.

"It was so crazy," explained soundtrack producer Mark Ronson on the red carpet to Variety. He added: "[Ryan Gosling is] a huge star of this movie and only has three hours on a Tuesday afternoon to cut the vocals. He just went in and as he started to get warmed up I was like, 'This guy is going to murder this song!' Of course he would."

Ronson continued, "I'm so psyched. We worked on it for about a year after he did the vocals. After I sent him the final version, with Slash on it, he was psyched and satisfied, which is what you want to do when you're making a sound for someone."
