Pop music superstar Cher has a new flavor of creative endeavor for her fans: her own gelato brand, which she announced in an Instagram post over the weekend, UK newspaper the Daily Mail reported.

"Yep, This Is Real," the 77-year-old recording icon posted on July 22. "I'm Launching My Gelato.... Watch Out LA‼️"

The new brand launch has been half a decade in the making. "'All Started 5 Years Ago And Now It's Finally HAPPENING," Cher added in the post, before concluding with the teaser: "More to come..."

The post included a video showing an ice cream truck emblazoned with a logo of Cher's image atop triangles of different colors that resemble ice cream cones. The truck also sported the name of the new brand: "CHERlato."

A snippet from Cher's hit "Believe" plays along to the video.

Fans posted playful responses in which they punned on the titles of Cher's catalogue of hits.

"Do You Believe In Ice Cream After Lunch," one person joked in the post's comments section.

"Featuring such flavors as: Ginseng, Tramps, and Thieves– If I Could Turn Back Lime – Dark Chocolate Lady," another offered.

Another served the suggestion "if I could churn back time."

That's not the only thing the pop goddess is preparing to dish up. The Hollywood Reported recalled that Cher "revealed earlier this year she was working on new music with her then-boyfriend, Alexander 'A.E.' Edwards, according to reports."

"It turns out a choice few people have already gotten a taste of the new Cher gelato, and gave it a thumbs up," the Mail noted.

"Yesterday, I sampled a chocolate scoop in a 'gold' covered cone from the truck parked off Sunset Boulevard," the news account relayed one person having posted. "It was a decadent delight!"

Denser than ice cream due to the way it is produced, and typically including less butterfat but more flavor, gelato was invented in Italy around 1530, according to Wikipedia. That makes the frozen treat almost as timeless as Cher herself.
