Harry Styles Goes Swimming London and His Fans Go Wild
READ TIME: 2 MIN.
When Harry Styles went swimming in a London park over the weekend, his fans went viral on social media. "The singer, 29, went shirtless displaying his impressive abs and his array of tattoos across his arms and chest as he walked along the dock barefoot with some fans expressing their surprise that the musician would visit the public ponds," reports the Daily Mail.
The tabloid The Mirror adds: "The 29-year-old, who owns property in the nearby area, sported a pair of forest green swim trunks and a long chained necklace as he hovered on the deck before taking the plunge. His elaborate tattoos, which include two birds on his ripped chest and a butterfly across his sculpted abs, were also on display. Eagle-eyed fans could also spot the name 'Mary' inked on Harry's right forearm, which is the moniker of his late grandmother."
On Twitter, his fans were quick to comment:
One person wondered: "Harry Styles as Wolverine? Thoughts?"
Another posted: "I think if I saw Harry Styles in his swim shorts I'd drown!"
Here are a few other tweets:
Styles was solo on this trip, but in another siting last week at Hampstead Heath, he was walking in the park with his new girlfriend, actress Taylor Russell along with his dog, Root, when a bicyclist with a cat in a basket came by. "Spotting the canine from its elevated vantage point, the white moggy is seen meowing aggressively as they pass, drawing the attention of Harry and Taylor," reports the Daily Mail.
Styles isn't the only celebrity to frequent the pond–Charles Dance is also a frequent visitor to the ponds, telling the British tabloid The Mirror: "'I've managed March until November, but there's a point... six degrees is about my limit. It's quite cold, it takes you a long time to warm up. But you feel great afterwards.'"
No doubt Hampstead Heath strikes a note with queer Londoners (and tourists) since it known as one of the city's major cruising areas. "Not a bar really as there are no drinks for sale and no indoors either, but the West Heath section of north London's Hampstead Heath must rank as one of the world's most impressive outdoor cruising grounds. Sometimes dead quiet and/or dull, other times swarming with men (casual, leather, rubber etc), the West Heath is a sloping dense, bushy and woodsy universe which, especially on a balmy summer's evening, can approach something magical. Busiest in the evenings, often after midnight. Police raids are a thing of the past," writes Gay Cities in their London section.
