Cher Is Happy with Toy Boy Alexander 'AE' Edwards

In an interview with People magazine, Cher discussed her new "Christmas" album and said that she has found a "beautiful man" in her 37-year-old beau Alexander "A.E." Edwards. And most importantly,it is never "too late" to fall in love, she added.

"Alexander's got diamond teeth, tattoos, white hair, and he's way younger," she said. But, "No matter what happens, I love being with him," she added. "He makes me laugh, and we have fun. What I learned is that it's never too late. If you wrote out all the statistics, you would go, 'Well, this is doomed.' But we've been together a year, and if it was just a year, it would've been worth it. I've had the best time."

The pair reportedly met "for about 15 minutes" one year ago at a Paris Fashion Week event. They exchanged numbers through a mutual friend, and the courtship began.

"It was really shocking, because people just don't give out my number," said the "Believe" singer. "I had been telling all my friends, 'We're too old to go out with really younger men, and I will never fall in love on text.' So I did what I said not to do!"

And now Edwards, who is well-known in the music business, has put his producing talents to use on her "Christmas" album with the song "Drop Top Sleigh Ride." Out Oct. 20, look for the song alongside the lead single from the album, "DJ Play a Christmas Song."

In music and in romance, Cher said she is at a stage where she is breaking all the rules because Edwards is "just so special."

"I hate when people say people are special, but lots of people say I'm special, so I can say that he's special," she said.

And she is happy. .

"If you have happiness, you can't think about how long it's going to last," she said. "You have to think about 'How does it feel?' and live in the moment."
