Kim Petras Says 'Gay Sex Happening' in the Crowd at her Concerts

German transgender singer Kim Petras said in a new interview that there's "definitely gay sex happening" at her concerts – "and that's the goal."
Chatting with Interview Magazine, Petras, who is currently in the midst of her "Feed the Beast" world tour, said that she loves "nothing more than being on tour" – "It's how I want my life to be. I never want it to stop. I just love waking up in a different city every day" – and talked about how her creative process factors in touring performances of songs as she's writing them.
"The best version of myself is when I'm on tour," the pop star said.
But there's more action at a Petras concert, she intimated, than what's up on stage.
Telling journalist Nicholson Baird that "to be at a Kim Petras concert is to want to be touched by a different person all over, the entire time," the "Treat Me Like A Slut" singer exclaimed. "Yes, me too. Which is something I'm so proud of," she said, before going on to add: "There's definitely gay sex happening, which is lit."
Continued Petras: "In the crowd, and that's the goal."
Petras and non-binary English singer Sam Smith threw anti-LGBTQ+ religious conservatives into a tailspin when the duo performed the song "Unholy" at the Grammys last February. The performance mocked the anti-gay Christian narrative that LGBTQ+ people are automatically consigned to Hell, but some took the diabolical imagery in the performance literally.
Petras, unrepentant, told the publication that her new tour – which features a "disco dick" – drew inspiration from a 700-year-old epic poem about a lost man's tour through Hades.
Petras explained that "if you look at the show, it's kind of inspired by Dante's 'Inferno' and the different levels of hell. And I just realigned those different levels with my EPs. So the Pop level, the Turn Off the Light level, the Ice level, the Feed the Beast level, the disco dick at the end."
What could top all that?
"I come out in an iron maiden," Petras said. "Everything's very symbolic for my life and you really have to overanalyze it to get it all. And my obsession with Greek mythology and German fairytales and all of that stuff, all of my passions are very deeply in there."
But the seeds for moral panic don't stop there. Petras added that she has "a very direct reference to Madonna in this tour with the bed, and me masturbating to myself as a man on stage." She credited German metal band Rammstein with inspiring "the Slut Pop section" of her show, and gave a shoutout to one of Italy's premiere directors of blood-soaked "giallo" films: "There's this one section I want to feel like a Dario Argento movie."
Petras' home on the road is a bus she described as "a little girlie cottage" with all the comforts of home, including a closet for her outfits, a PlayStation, and equipment for watching movies. It's the best of both worlds: a cozy home that can also visit truck stops where, Petras said, she shops for "essentials" like jeans, "logo tees," and "Ed Hardy trucker hats."
"Yeah, suck some dick at the truck stop," Petras quipped.
The pop icon gave a description of the long days she works, but she also talked about how hard she parties, noting that the night before the interview, "We went to a bar, we had a bunch of drinks, we talked, and then the bus call was 2:00 AM. So we got on the bus, drunk as hell, and passed out. I passed out in my wig, which I shouldn't do, but fuck it."
"And then I woke up in a different city," Petras added, "and here I am about to shower and do another show."
Will you be checking out the show – and the hot action supposedly going on in the crowd – when the "Feed the Beast" tour comes to your town?
