Pornhub's Annual 'Insights' Reveals Most Popular Search Terms, More

But people hungered for the human touch, too – as well as for healing forms of eros. The term "therapy" appeared in searches globally at a rate more than 300% greater than last year, especially in places like Canada and Australia, where the local growth of the term's usage topped 500%. More specifically, occurrences of the the term "therapy sex" jumped 121%, while use of the term "anal therapy" tripled.
Search terms like "femboy," "blowjob," and "creampie" either held close to their previous positions, or climbed in popularity. "Femboy," in particular, became more popular, rising 12% this year as compared to last, while "trans" became 10% more frequent as a search term. In fact, Pornhub noted, the popularity of "transgender" made that the only search term that was popular across age groups, with "Gen Y, Gen X and Boomers" all using the term.
But worldwide, the most popular search of all was "hentai" – a pornographic genre of Japanese anime. Perhaps not coincidentally, the term "animation" leaped in popularity by 18%.
Pornhub's annual analysis isn't the only game in town; Grindr recently released its own set of analytics, which broke down searches by country and found that "bottoms" was most popular as a search term in South Korea, Japan, and Vietnam, while searches for "hung bottoms" were most frequent in France, the UK, and Canada. Users in Trinidad, Tobago, Kenya, and China were most actively seeking "tops," and Finland registered the most searches using the term "vers." Plan your next getaway accordingly!
