Our Favorite Queer Music Videos of December 2023
Andrea Marks Joseph READ TIME: 10 MIN.
December's music videos gave us Keiynan's seductive lap dance-inspired (and inspiring!) choreography for "SIT DOWN," a new holiday classic filmed at Rockefeller Center, tour visuals from both Rina Sawayama and Lauren Sanderson, and sultry magic from Michaela Jaé. Kat Cunning's new video has "exploring kink at the church orgy" energy, and The Veronicas rock out to their new banger.
Keiynan - "SIT DOWN"
Keiynan and his dance partner are shirtless while performing the flirtatious choreography to his latest keep-this-on-repeat hit. The black-and-white video is simple and playful, offering perfect visuals for a song that asks his lover to do exactly as it says, allowing Keiynan to seduce them. "SIT DOWN" is a song to give your lover a lap dance to. The bridge sees Keiynan thrusting his hips into the air, followed by an ending that leaves him handcuffed on the floor.... It's a yes from us.
Matt Rogers ft. Bowen Yang - "RockaFellaCenta"
This charming, cheerful video follows Matt Rogers visiting the place that inspired his incredibly catchy holiday song. We see the stage doors he sings about, the people ice skating, and the "big, big, big, big, big, big tree." Alongside Bowen Yang, who features on the song and filmed at Rockefeller Center with Rogers, this video has quick cameos by Al Roker and Jenna Bush Hager, who are name-dropped in the song. The video sees Rogers seated on the iconic building's new "The Beam" photo experience.
Michaela Jaé - "Snow Globe"
"Snow Globe" is a sultry, sexy, smooth RnB hit, and the music video delivers all that and more! Everything from Michaela Jaé's sublime skintight outfits to the full-body performance she's giving in the lounge is slayful – the camera following every gorgeous muscular curve of her body, then revealing a wreath on fire and eventually the entire room up in flames, while the "Pose" star never stops dancing. Phenomenal.
Anitta, PEDRO SAMPAIO, Dennis - "Joga Pra Lua"
Anitta always serves, and this video – in which there is sooo much ass-shaking, thrusting, and a specific setup for her scenes of sapphic sex-inspired choreography – is no exception. While her music always sounds like a summer where you've been up all night dancing, this song is about the feeling of being mesmerized by the gorgeous girls having fun throwing ass "to the moon" at the club. The "Joga Pra Lua" video captures that essence, and you can't look away from Anitta.
