Out actor Conrad Ricamora, best known for his time on "How To Get Away with Murder," is heading off-Broadway to play Abraham Lincoln in Cole Escola's "Oh, Mary!" Escola will also co-star as Mary Todd Lincoln in this re-imagining of her life in the days prior to her husband's assassination. It will play the Lucille Lortel Theatre beginning January 26 for a limited eight-week engagement through March 24. Opening night is scheduled for February 8. (For more information, visit the play's website.)

"'Oh, Mary!' is a dark comedy starring Cole Escola as a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln's assassination," reads the play's website. "Unrequited yearning, alcoholism and suppressed desires abound in this one act play that finally examines the forgotten life and dreams of Mrs. Lincoln through the lens of an idiot (Cole Escola)."

"Escola's screenwriting credits include 'At Home With Amy Sedaris' and 'The Other Two,' and they've appeared as an actor in 'Difficult People,' 'Mozart in the Jungle,' 'At Home With Amy Sedaris,' and 'Big Mouth,' among others. They released a comedy special on YouTube titled 'Help! I'm Stuck With Cole Escola' in 2021, and an homage to '70s westerns 'Our Home Out West' in November. Vanity Fair named the latter as one of the best performances of 2023," Playbill said.

Ricamora recently appeared as Ninoy Aquino in David Byrne's musical "Here Lies Love," currently on Broadway. Previously he played the role in various incarnations of the musical, including its Public Theater run.

Sam Pinkleton will direct a cast that also includes the newly announced James Scully ("You," "Fire Island") as Mary's teacher, Bianca Leigh ("Transamerica") as Mary's chaperone, and Tony Macht as Mary's husband's assistant with Hannah Solow and Peter Smith.
