Venerable director Guillermo del Toro has reportedly found his Frankenstein in "Saltburn" star Jacob Elordi.

As reported by Deadline, Elordi joins Christoph Waltz, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley and Christian Convery in an all-star ensemble cast for Toro's Frankenstein film on Netflix.

Elordi is replacing Andrew Garfield, who dropped out of the role because of the actors' strike postponements that led to scheduling conflicts.

Additionally, per Deadline, Oscar Isaac will play Victor Frankenstein, and Mia Goth will also have a major role.

Toro is writing, directing and producing alongside J. Miles Dale. The original Mary Shelley version of the story, from her novel, follows a brilliant scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous and turns tragic.

According to Deadline, Del Toro has been developing the Frankenstein project for a long time, and it is currently unknown whether his story will follow Shelley's classic.
