Out "Years & Years" frontman and "It's a Sin" star Olly Alexander detailed plans for a performance of his new single, "Dizzy," at this year's upcoming Eurovision song contest, where he will be representing the United Kingdom.

Official Charts spoke with the actor-musician on the red carpet at the BRITs awards, and Alexander took the chance to say that he'd been "sitting on the song for so long" and he's "honestly so relieved" that it's been released.

"I was just like, 'Wow, this song needs to come out now,'" Alexander recalled, before going on to say that he's "excited to perform the song" – something he's going to get the chance to do in a few weeks when the annual European song contest kicks off in Malmo, Sweden.

Alexander revealed he's been rehearsing for his appearance at the contest, and offered "unexpected" as one of three words to describe what he's got in mind for viewers.

Alexander also promised a "memorable" and "enchanting" experience for those who tune in.
