Jean Smart Is Back in Funny Form in 'Hacks' Season 3 Trailer

Everyone's favorite, foul-mouthed fictional comedian Deborah Vance, played by Jean Smart, is back and more feisty than ever in the "Hacks" season 3 trailer on Max.

In the show, Smart's character Deborah Vance is back on top of Las Vegas with a hit show, but her former writer Ava, played by Hannah Einbinder, confronts her when she gets word that she hired new writers following the success of her special.

"A year after parting, Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) is riding high off the success of her standup special while Ava (Hannah Einbinder) pursues new opportunities back in Los Angeles," according to the show's synopsis.

The new season will kick off with two episodes, with two episodes each week until the season finale on May 30.

Smart one an Emmy Award for her role in the show, including a SAG Award and Critics Choice Award. Returning to the show includes Einbinder, who is an Emmy, SAG Award, and Critics Choice Award nominee, Paul W. Downs, Megan Stalter, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Kaitlin Olson, Christopher McDonald, Mark Indelicato, Rose Abdoo, and Lorenza Izzo.

Planned season 3 guest stars include J. Smith-Cameron, Helen Hunt, Christina Hendricks, Christopher Lloyd, Dan Bucatinsky, George Wallace, Tony Goldwyn, and Aristotle Athari.
