A new Elvis movie is in pre-production from director Baz Luhrmann ("The Get Down," "The Great Gatsby") and a short list of actors has been teased for the role of the king. Harry Styles, Ansel Elgort, Miles Teller, Austin Butler and Aaron Taylor-Johnson are among those who have been screen-tested,

This would be G-Eazy's first foray into acting, and if he lands the role, it could be a big first splash. Whoever plays the King will be acting alongside Tom Hanks, who has already been cast in the role of Elvis' manager Colonel Tom Parker.
Perhaps G-Eazy is trying to follow in the footsteps of Harry Styles, the musician who made his entrance into acting in the widely praised "Dunkirk." A casting decision is expected soon, possibly as soon as within the week, according to Complex.
