NASCAR: Dale Earnhardt - 10 Greatest Wins

I don't necessarily fit the profile for your typical NASCAR fan (gay, live in New York City and don't even own a car) but I can appreciate any sport with diehard fans and endless anticipation and thrills...and I grew up in the state that hosts the Indianapolis 500 every Memorial Day weekend. One of NASCAR's biggest heroes is driver Dale Earnhardt, who had hundreds of great wins in his career before his death in 2001. To honor his memory and contributions to the sport, NASCAR has put together 10 of his best races on DVD with Dale Earnhardt: 10 Greatest Wins.

Due to his aggressive driving and amazing stamina on the track, Earnhardt was called "The Man in Black," "Mr. Restrictor Plate" and, most famously, "The Intimidator." The five disc set contains over seven hours of ten amazing races, including Earnhardt's first win driving under his famous #3 at the 1984 Talladega 500. Also included is the 1995 Save Mart Supermarkets 300 race where Earnhardt finished first with his only road course win and his first and only Daytona 500 victory in 1998.

Every race that Earnhardt drove in seemed to have it's own spectacular flair. For example, when he won the 2000 Cracker Barrell 500 in Atlanta, it was a photo-finish win against driving rival Bobby Labonte. And, in what would be his final victory, Earnhardt moved from 18th place to 1st place over the final three laps to win the 2000 Winston 500 at Talladega.

The DVD collection, which comes in a silver-colored metal case, also includes minimal (but worthy) bonus features. Footage from Ralph Earnhardt's 1997 Hall of Fame induction is included as well as Dale Earnhardt's induction, which was done posthumously in 2006.

Earnhardt was killed in a last-lap crash in the 2001 Daytona 500 but not only left a legacy but also passed on his driving skill on to his son, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. As seen in the 10 races in this collection, his impact on the sport will be felt for many more years to come. If you are a NASCAR fan, this collection is for you. "Dale Earnhardt: 10 Greatest Wins" is available now on DVD.
