Watch: Adam Rippon Superfan Reese Witherspoon Meets Out Athlete in Hilarious Interview
READ TIME: 2 MIN.
Reese Witherspoon got to meet her favorite Winter Olympian Adam Rippon during an interview on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."
During the 2018 Winter Olympics, Witherspoon showed her support for the out athlete on Twitter:
Rippon responded with a hilarious tweet:
He also gave her a shoutout during the Games last month, saying: "I have many emotions when I step on the ice. I want to represent my country to the best of my abilities. I want to make Reese Witherspoon proud."
The two finally got to meet in person on "The Late Show" and it was incredible.
As the two held hands, and looked into each other's eyes, Rippon said, "This is great."
"This is meant to be," Witherspoon said, adding, "This is the relationship the world has been waiting for."
Colbert asked them to give their first impressions of each other.
"You smell really good...you're more handsome in person than on the ice," the actress gushed.
Rippon then launched into a story about how he wanted to look his best for Witherspoon but in the process, lost a button on his shirt and shared his wardrobe malfunction, opening the center of his button up.
"I'm embarrassed...but I'm not. Do you know what I mean?" Rippon asked. "So, I needed this."
Rippon later says he first fell in love with Witherspoon when he watched "Legally Blonde."
This isn't the only celeb the skater met recently. Rippon made headlines earlier this week when he got to talk to his celebrity crush, pop singer Shawn Mendes at an Oscar's afterparty.
