Watch: Megan Mullally Reacts to Trump Tweeting Their 'Green Acres' Emmys Performance

READ TIME: 2 MIN.

President Donald Trump decided to celebrate the signing of the Agricultural Improvement Act, also known as the "Farm Bill," Thursday by taking to Twitter to share a clip of himself and "Will & Grace" star Megan Mullally performing the theme song to "Green Acres" at the 2006 Emmys.

The cringe-worthy performance features Trump, dressed in overalls with a straw hat and holding a pitchfork, and Mullally as her "Will & Grace" character, Karen. After tweeting out the video, Mullally responded.

"Omg," she said in one tweet, following that up with: "If you guys need me, I'll be in a hole in the ground."

Back in 2016, Mullally talked about the performance when she was on "The Late Show." Host Stephen Colbert pulled out a photo from the moment and the actress responded by saying, "See this photo? It's otherwise known as my suicide note."

Colbert then asked her what it was like performing with Trump.

"Oh! Dreamy," she said sarcastically.

Mullally explains the theme of the Emmys that year was based on "American Idol" where a number of celebrities performed theme songs from various shows and viewers called in to vote on a winner. She said Trump "really wanted to win it."

And win they did.

The following day, Mullally said Trump called her and told her, "You know what? We really needed to win that thing and we did. And you were a big part of that and I wanted to say we really needed to win it. And not only did we win it but I hear we killed them. It was a landslide."

"He's still looking for a security of agriculture, so..." Colbert said.

"If he felt that way about Emmy Idol how do you think he felt about the presidential election?"

As Vulture points out, Trump has criticized the Emmys several times in the past. Find those tweets below. Also below, Mullally on "The Late Show" from 2016.
