Watch: Madonna Releases Graphic Music Vid for 'Madame X' Song 'God Control'

Madonna's latest offering from her new album "Madame X" is the music video for the song "God Control."

Directed by Jonas Akerlund, the graphic video shows disturbing moments of a shooting at a nightclub, ending with the Material Girl urging for gun control.

"I want to draw attention through my platform as an artist to a problem in America that is out of control and is taking the lives of innocent people," Madonna said in a press release. "This crisis can end if our legislators act to change the laws that fail to protect us all."

The pop icon previously released videos for "Medellin," "Crave," "Dark Ballet," "Future" and "I Rise," an ode to the LGBTQ community. "Madame X" was released on June 14 and debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard 200.
