Reality TV star Courtney Stodden recently announced new preferred pronouns: they/them/theirs. In a heartfelt social media post to their more than 300K followers, the celebrity and model came out as non-binary and said they never felt like they "fit in anywhere."

"I don't Identify as she or her," said Stodden in the post shared on Twitter and Instagram. "I was bullied horribly in school because I was different. The other girls never understood me. It got so bad that my mom pulled me out of school. And still, I don't fit in. I never really connected with anyone my age. My spirit is fluid with a kaleidoscope of color."

After being contacted for further comment by Variety magazine Editor-at-Large Kate Aurthur, Stodden shared: "I'm excited to begin to truly start expressing myself without worry of others' judgments or opinions. I've lived too long hiding from who I really am. I'm so excited for everyone to see my true self creatively and spiritually," Variety reported.

Stodden infamously entered the spotlight at the age of 16 when they married 51-year-old actor Doug Hutchison in 2011. The relationship became regular tabloid fodder, and together the couple became a household name in the reality TV world, appearing on shows such as "Couples Therapy," and "Celebrity Big Brother."

But what Stodden really wants to do is sing. In a Twitter direct message conversation with Variety, they also shared that they have a music video coming out: "Last month I filmed a music video for my upcoming single 'Ple@sure' and it was so important for me to take control back from the men I've lived under. It's a role reversal of sorts and hope everyone feels empowered to be whoever the hell they want to be!"

According to Stodden's Instagram, the music video for "Ple@sure" will be released on May 1. Watch a preview for the video below.
