Country singer Kelsea Ballerini became the latest singer to be struck by a thrown object while on stage. The singer temporarily halted her June 28 performance in Boise, Idaho, after a bracelet hit her in the eye, USA Today reported.

"Ballerini, 28, was performing her song 'If You Go Down (I'm Goin' Down Too)' when she was hit," NBC News relayed. "A video shared on Twitter, recorded by fan Brittney Thompson, appears to show Ballerini stop singing while her violinist checks her face."

After a brief pause, Ballerini returned to the stage and the concert resumed.

Ballerini herself took to her Instagram Story to post that she was unharmed and that being struck "more so just scared me than hurt me."

The singer survived a school shooting in 2008 in Knoxville, Tennessee, and has said that she suffers PTSD.

Ballerini posted that "we all have triggers and layers of fears way deeper than what is shown, and that's why i walked offstage to calm down and make sure myself, band and crew, and the crowd all felt safe to continue."

Ballerini also posted a message on her regular Instagram feed in which she included a carrel of photos and wrote, "two shows of the heartfirst tour left 🥲"

"ps- i'm fine," Ballerini added; "let's just do a better job of keeping each other safe at shows. ily."

A fan account on Twitter showed video of the incident, and posted a message encouraging fans to refrain from throwing items at the stage.

"We all want to show Kelsea love the best way we know how, and shower her with all the gifts," the message read. "But throwing things on stage where artists are already so vulnerable is NOT the move. If you can't hand it to her, there are so many other options. Lord, give it to us! We will make sure it gets to her. But PLEASE don't put her in danger like this. Again, I know you all mean well, but this is becoming a safety issue."

"We love you guys. We do," the post added. "But please make it stop."

The incident is the latest in a string of performers being struck by objects audience members have thrown on the stage during a live performance. Bebe Rexha was in the midst of a performance at a Manhattan venue earlier this month when a cellphone came flying out of the crowd and struck her above the eye. The pop star was taken to a hospital and received stitches to treat the gash.

Posting on Instagram after the incident, Rexha assured fans: "Im good." But the photo she included clearly showed a black eye and the stitches she received.

A suspect, 27-year-old Nicolas Malvagna, reportedly told security at the concert that he thought "it would be funny" to strike the singer with his phone. Malvanga faces criminal charges in the case.

In another incident, singer P!nk addressed a fan who threw a bag of cremains - the ashes of a cremated human body - onto the stage in the midst of her June 25 concert in London.

Upon finding out the bag contained the ashes of a fan's mother, P!nk said, "I don't know how I feel about this."

One incident went even farther than the others: A day after Bebe was struck with the cell phone, a man jumped onstage and assaulted singer Ava Max. Video shared on social media appeared to show the man's hand connecting with Ava's face in a slap. The singer touched her face momentarily as security grabbed the attacker and removed him from the stage.

Tweeting about the attack later, Max told fans, "He slapped me so hard that he scratched the inside of my eye."

"He's never coming to a show again 😡😡," Max posted, before going on to add, "thank you to the fans for being spectacular tonight in LA though!!❤️"
