2023 Rewind: Tom Holland Gets Trolled for Gay Sex Scene in 'The Crowded Room'

Can Spider-Man actor Tom Holland play a gay character? Apparently not, to some on social media.

Holland – who recently announced he will return to the superhero role in "Spider Man 4" – came under fire on social media Friday for his part in the Apple TV series, "The Crowded Room."

But others, according to The Independent, are coming to his defense.

"The Apple TV+ series is inspired by the true story of Billy Milligan, the first person acquitted of a crime due to dissociative identity disorder," writes the British newspaper.
