Former Trump Okla. Campaign Chair Hit with Child Porn-Related Charges

Things just got worse for Ralph Shortey, the former Oklahoma state Senator who was caught with a teenage boy in a Super 8 Motel room last March. According to KCCO, the family values Republican and former Trump campaign chair is now facing numerous federal child porn-related charges.
According to court documents obtained by KCCO, former State Sen. Ralph Shortey was arraigned Wednesday and slapped with four federal child porn-related charges that include two counts of transportation of child pornography, production of child pornography and child sex trafficking.
The transportation charges stem from allegations that he sent videos involving young boys and a video of a "prepubescent girl" from a smartphone using an AOL account in 2013. The affidavit which used his social media aliases read:
Ralph Allan Lee Shortey a/k/a Brian Tilley, a/k/a Jamie Tilley knowingly transported, and attempted to transport, child pornography using a means and facility of interstate and foreign commerce and in and affecting interstate and foreign commerce, in that SHORTEY used his smartphone and his [REDACTED] email account to email a video titled "boy group," a video titled "boy group1," a video titled "young boys f[***]ing," and a video titled "young boy sucking c[*x*]," which depict boys engaging in sexually explicit conduct, to [REDACTED], with the subject line "Kik" on the
emai1.
The allegation surrounding the production of child pornography charge comes from claims that he persuaded a mono to send at lease one questionable photograph after allegedly persuading the teen on social media.
Shortey served as Oklahoma's chair of President Trump's campaign during the primary elections, Raw Story points out. On March 10, he posted a selfie on Facebook after having lunch with Donald Trump Jr. That photo has since been deleted.
The lawmaker was elected into office in 2010 and is best known for a bill he proposed that bans using fetuses in food. (Read more about that wild story via the LA Times.)
NewsOk.com wrote Shortey is "married to his high school sweetheart since 2002." According to his Facebook, he's a father of two young daughters.
